We have a second grader!

June 2, 2010

JT did so well on his final report card. He got his marks up from Satisfactory to Exceeds Expectations in almost all the categories. And no marks off for handwriting this time!!

He was a bit sad when he said goodbye to his first grade teacher, but had a really great day.

As a reward for being such an amazing kid, and getting such a great report card, we all went to a baseball game in the city, spontaneous trips are the best! We got great seats through StubHub and were close to the field in foul ball territory. Two balls came close to us and we watched a man practically trample his young child to get a ball. I was a nervous wreck after that, anticipating an rampage of drunken baseball fans coming at us if the ball was heading our way, haha. But other than that it was a fun, fun, fun, night.

We got there early enough to watch Matt Cain warm up, he threw all 9 innings, with no score by the Diamondbacks and only one hit, & the Giants scored 5 runs. A great game!

Lulu got to give a High-Five to Lou Seal, the Giants beloved mascot.

JT scored the game with Dad. I still don’t understand scoring, it’s more than just who makes it to home, that’s all I know, so don’t bother to ask me, LOL.

The kids made all the way to the end of the game, very impressive! We had a blast!!

Now I’m searching for a good baseball kit in orange and black to scrap these pages! The orange & black would go well with JT’s Little League colors this year too 🙂

Yay!! Looks like lots of fun!!!

And yeah. The whole baseball scoring thing is such a mystery. My brother pitched all through high school and everything, so I know exactly what you talking about! They record singles, doubles, everything. 0.o

Congrats, JT! The baseball game looked so much fun and I am sure it will be a memory that they both cherish. You are such an amazing mom 🙂
