Guess who’s eating!

February 6, 2008

Yep, I’ve been telling my Dad for over a week that I took a little video of Lulu enjoying her first meal. She’s a champ and took to the spoon and eating right away. Adorable!
And here’s a couple photos I threw together really quick, I didn’t want to put together a new scrapbook layout yet (looking for the perfect kit) but I did want to show off the photos.

(that background paper is mine from a kit I put together for valentines day and the frames are from welli designs.)

In other news, JT is a busy busy kid!! He started a PreKindergarten class this week and is really enjoying his mornings there. He goes from 8:15 to 12:15 and is in Mady’s class so was able to have a friend there right away. He’s also started Akido classes at our city’s rec center. I really like the teacher, she’s good at teaching to his age group and they are practicing all kinds of cool moves, like standing like a tree and sitting like mountains, and how to bow and show respect. We also got him signed up for TBall/Little League which starts in March. It’s hard to believe this kid has so much to do!
Funny story! After JT’s first class he tells me he doesn’t want to take Aikido, and I ask him why. Well he says he doesn’t want his teeth to fall out. In his dojo, there is a picture of the the founder of Aikido, and he seems to be missing his teeth…

Portrait of Aikido Founder Morihei Ueshiba

OMG, don’t you just love kids!! So we explained he wouldn’t loose his teeth like O-Sensei Morihei Ueshiba if he learned Aikido, that O-Sensei Morihei Ueshiba lost his teeth because he was a very old man. That seemed to seal the deal and he’s loving his class!

I finished a couple layouts. Here’s one with Jessica’s DST Exclusive Kit for February.

and one I did with a new kit by Gina Miller, I fell in love with this kit and had to have it.ilovemyson.jpg

That’s about all going on in the land of Shaw.

Oh and last night was quite the showing for my man OBAMA! GO BARAK!!

That was too cute! She knew she wanted what was on that spoon…even if she didn’t know what it was!
