July 1st, already!?!

Seriously, where does the time go? I feel like I lost all of April, May, and June in a haze. I can’t believe Joel’s been working at his new job for 3 months, and we’ve been sharing a car for 3 months, and my Mom’s been diagnosed for 3 months. It’s been a rough 3 months, but honestly, I’m really starting to count my blessings again. I have moments where I think I’m going to have a panic attack, bill day is one of those, but I’m having alot of fun too!

A dear friend has a big TOOT and I’m so happy for her, Tin, I’m thinking about you chica, miss you OOOdles!!

Is anyone anxiously awaiting the opening of Plain Digital Wrapper today? It seem Holly McCaig’s got herself a new adventure, and since I’m a hype junking, her constant drops of who’s joining in the new store has peeked my interest. It seems like today’s a big day all over the digi world, with the launch of Maya’s Studio Girls store, bringing together some of the absolute best designers out there, wow! And Dani B’s Digital Graphiti, I know what I’m saving up for, wowzer.

Dani Mogstad released the new products today at Design By Dani. And her new newsletter too, did you see my smiling face in there, so exciting. And the Dani’s Girls have begun a new adventure of our own, a Creative Team Blog, Girl Talk

I started us off on the first challenge today, an element challenge, and here’s the kicker, participants will be eligible to win a GC from the store for every challenge they participate in. I’m excited to see where this goes, there is so much energy in this team, I’m sure it will be lots of fun!

Here’s my layout I did for the challenge.

Using Dani and Kimberly Giarusso’s new Yankee Doodle Candy released today, as well as an arrow from Dani’s Get The Point Pack and a paper tear from Cabana Boy. The glitter firework’s are a freebie from the newsletter!

And I finally have a layout to share for Karen as well. Her Funky Doodles line of paper packs and doodles is so awesome!!

The papers are Funky Doodles for Him, and I colored in the doodles using colors from the papers. That is an actual font, not just stamps or pngs!! You can get it in Karen’s shop at SBB too (click Karen’s blinkie to take you there). I’m a pretty uncluttered scrapper, and doodling in real life is beyond me, so I’m stepping out of my box a bit lately, and Karen’s stuff will definitely push me, I played around with those doodles for days, and I’m pretty happy with how they turned out. Joel’s at work today, and this morning I got a call from his new(ly discovered) half sister, she seemed kinda nervous, but very neat. His Dad is talking about coming to visit us soon. I think Joel might be a little freaked by the whole prospect, but he’s also very greatful that they sought him out.

I had to cancel HBO and Encore yesterday, as our promo was over and couldn’t justify the $20 a month expense, and now I’m kinda bummed. How am I going to watch Big Love when it comes back, maybe I’ll get in on another promo in enough time, you’ll have to keep me posted as to when it’s starting again.

Well, I’ve got to get these layouts into some galleries and then JT and I are walking to the video store to return movies. Have a great weekend!!
