My Mimi and Parade Day

May 20, 2006

Today was a great day, I’ll tell you about that in a minute, for now check out my latest Chick’s Life page. Our prompt was Mothers…
Read about the layout & credits here.

So onto my great day. Well, first, Joel’s on a roll selling cars, he sold 3 on Thursday, and another today, and started out this pay period with 1, so he’s already made bonus, which means, we’ll still have cable and internet next month! Yeah! We had to drop off Joel at work at 9am, and then we picked up Mom and her dog, and went to our city’s Parade of Roses. This year our city is celebrating Woodstock, Charles M. Schultz lived here in Santa Rosa while he was alive and last year the city had Charlie Brown’s all over town (check out layout here). Well this year we have Woodstock’s and the theme of the parade was The Summer of Woodstock, so everyone was wearing tie-dye and the marching bands were playing Age of Aquarius, it was hysterical. I can’t wait until the downtown market starts and we can start taking photos of JT and the Woodstocks. Oh and there was this great float by Tuff Shed of snoopy on top of a shed and he had shot down the red baron (didn’t get a photo, I was in line waiting for the porta-potty). It was a huge parade, like 2.5 hours or so, not too many floats, and all local stuff, but watching JT, that was the fun of it all. And seeing Mom up and out and about was great. We have more appointments next week, hopefully we’ll get a little farther in figuring out what’s going to happen with her treatments.

Well, I’m supposed to be watching a movie with Joel, so I better go. Have a great weekend!

doh! I never put two and two together- the Schultz museum and you both in Santa Rosa. I want to come see the museum there since I’ve helped with the album about Polly and Stan donating the wall of their house to the museum. Polly has more she wants us to add to it, so we get to go play with Peanuts paraphenalia some more in a week or two.
I can’t wait to see the Woodstock pics! Seeing all of the different decorated statues is always fun; they had bears here last summer.
Gorgeous LO and I am so glad you all had a good time at the festival. Oh, and yeah for car sales! Go Joel!
